Meet Carla Renders, Our Director of Upstate Network Management
We’re thrilled to welcome Carla Renders to our Health Plans team as our Director of Upstate Network Management! Carla brings over 20 years of experience in the managed care field and a deep commitment to improving health care access for all New Yorkers. As we expand more into Upstate New York, Carla’s expertise and connection with the region will help us provide quality care for our neighbors.
As a lifelong resident of Upstate New York, Carla has a profound understanding of the unique health care needs of the region. Throughout her career she has developed her expertise in provider contracting, risk arrangements, network analytics, population health, value-based programing and other vital skill sets. She also graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a B.A in Spanish. In her new role, she will be instrumental in expanding our provider networks across more than 10 counties, ensuring that individuals with complex needs who rely on Medicaid and Medicare receive the care they need.
Before joining VNS Health, Carla was with MVP Health Care for 15+ years, working her way up from a Systems Analyst to the Director of Network Management. In her previous role, she honed her skills in network development and management. She also gained a deep understanding of Managed Care plans as well as Medicare and Medicaid. Her extensive experience and dedication to healthcare excellence make her a valuable addition to our team.
